Producing The Spiritual Leadership For Religious Zionism
The Echad l’Echad Foundation supports those dedicated to Torah learning in national religious institutions throughout Israel as well as assists needy families within the religious Zionist community.
The foundation started its operations in 2009 and is one of the projects of the “Torah B’Tzion” institution.
Our basic principle is that producing Torah leaders who recognize their mission, as well as Zionism and connecting to the community are a national mission.
Echad l’Echad identifies, with the help of roshei yeshivot, the religious Zionist leaders of the next generation and awards them with a respectable grant. The purpose of this is to allow these “top” avreichim to invest and grow in their Torah learning in a calm and stress-free manner.
Echad l’Echad offers significant support to needy avreichim and their families within the religious Zionist community before Rosh Hashana and Pesach. This assistance, offered to thousands of avreichim twice a year, is not only financial assistance, rather it signifies a warm hug from the entire dati leumi community towards those dedicated to Torah learning, for their toil is for the sake of us all.
“The Echad l’Echad Foundation gives charity out of a sense of respect and appreciation and requests nothing in return.”
Rabbi Tzvi Kustener
Rosh Yeshiva Mitzpe Ramon
“The grant received from Echad l’Echad is oxygen to breathe. We can enter into the holidays by focusing on what’s holy and not only on how we will finish off the month.”
Ohr Asoch
Avreich who receives a stipend before the holidays
It is upon all of us in the dati leumi community to understand that we are talking about a historical matter. This realization requires us to support our own Torah learners. If not, we will be forced to be subject to a Torah world which is not Zionistic. We are standing at a crossroads and in order to move to the next level it is incumbent upon all of us to put our hands into our pockets and support our future Torah leaders. Therefore, we turn to each and every one of us with a heartfelt plea: Come and partner with us!
